  1. yes! y wouldn't it. It's just a beach with sand and water and no one owns it.

  2. yes there is no law against it.

  3. No, because the foreshore belongs to the crown so it is stealing. many beaches have notices to this effect. You'd get away with the odd rock or a bucket of sand but try taking your trailer down there and see what happens!

  4. Yes its legal. How else would our kids have shells, sand and magic stones to bring home?

Depends if you turn up with a digger and a lorry, then your local council might say this is too much. WHo do the stones and sand belong to? The queen I suppose.

  5. it is illegal as your taking away the coast lines natural defences. imagine if every one took away sand and rocks from british beaches we would be stuffed

  6. No, technically you're not allowed to. But unless you take large amounts I don't think anyone is going to stop you. The odd stone or two isn't going to hurt.

  7. I dont think so but hey we all do it dont we?

  8. Yes - but only for personal consumption

  9. It is not illegal to take the odd rock or stone, but if you want to take industrial quantities, you need a license from the Environmental Agency (SEPA in Scotland).  Some sand and gravel is dredged form off-shore under such a license.
