  1. It is legal but unwise. First it isnt wide enough. Second the axle will fail and cause severe damage and possibly death. If you want to construct a car hauler then thats ok but a boat trailer just isnt up to the task. Unless you are prepared to replace the axles(yes two) with some heavy duty ones. Try northern tool & equipment and also reinforce the trailer frame then you are destined to fail. While you are there they also have plans you can buy for like $10 to construct a car hauler or any other type of trailer you wish to build. Its worth it if you are inexperienced with building things.

  2. You can do that, but just make sure about the weight of the cars that you are going to haul. Make sure the trailor will take that much weight.

  3. not heavy enough to carry a car it will bend and break.... try looking for one that someone is selling and not get a new one.... try craigslist.org.. or freecycle

  4. yes but keep all your paperwork and reciepts and you will need them when you take it all down to the dmv to get it all inspected.

if you arent sure what you might need to do to be up to code, check with your local dmv.  Good luck.

  5. Yes but you will need to comply with all of your states requirements the same way that you would for a regular trailer and you cannot overload it, so check the total weight that it can carry..
