  1. No, you might die, I dont know if it is illegal but why would you want to do it and risk your life? Just get a car and drive through the A1 rather then walk Mr. You can walk in the park all you want, why would you choose that spot?  It would take you AGES to get out of the motorway anyway if you did >> :) x*x

  2. Go for it, chances are you'll be dead before the police come anyway.

  3. why the h**l not

  4. Yes it is legal - the only roads you can't walk down are motorways, so the A1(M) sections you can't walk down.

I'm not aware that there are any distance issues

  5. It is legal to walk on the A1 but not the A1(M). The A1 is an ordinary A Road, the A1(M) is Motorway status. I'll check on Microsoft AutoRoute for you.

Edit; I checked AutoRoute and of the total distance of 27.8 miles, you cannot legally walk the 10.7 miles between Dishforth and Junction 47.

    Happy yomping.

  6. I've walked on the M1, M20 & the M25

  7. You can walk on the A1 but not the A1m, dont know which parts are which but it will be marked on a map.
