  1. You can have two diff pay positions in same co. so long as your not being paid for the same hours on the same day.  Can be same day pay so long as the hours claimed worked are different hours, you cant be in two places at once and if your doing two jobs during same hours the wage should be one wage reflective of two job.  And yes as the others have said make sure you are getting overtime you are entitled to.

  2. sure it is as long as they pay you over time for any hours worked over 40,thats both positions included.

so if they work you 20 hours at one and 30 at the other they have to pay you for 10 hours over time at the highest rate of pay.

  3. Yes,income is income. As far as overtime goes they do not have to pay it if you are considered management and they do not have to pay overtime if your job functions and descriptions are different for each fourty hour salaried tour.

  4. Yes it is legal provding you fully declare your income in each position to the tax authorities. Your personal allowances & tax thresholds sb applied to one particular position first. Tax laws allow for this situatuation which is not uncommon. I am talking about the UK situation but I assume the principle is the same in any tax jurisdiction.

  5. Yes, definitely.

All income has to be pooled together though for tax purposes.

The main job is treated as a normal one according to Inland Revenue, the second will have to have all monies income subjected to income tax and national insurance.

Call the inland revenue for how to fill in your tax forms.

    deadline 31st January- so hurry.

  6. My HR Dept says yes, but you have to pay overtime once they are past 40 hours per week.  20 hours at each job is OK, but 20 at the first and 25 at the second would mean 5 hours OT.

  7. sounds like creative accounting to avoid paying overtime..
