  1. Come to CA, we've had legal marijuana for years.

  2. Probably in like 20.

  3. While that an 'extremely' hypothetical situation. There are many states that have already legalized medicinal use.

    But here's the catch:

Ultimately it is being treated as a state's rights issue, which is odd, because it technically isn't.  And so far, there has been little real opposition or public outcry to this trend. (Think of g*y marriage, which is a state's right issue but has had MAJOR public outcry from conservatives to be nationallyy regulated.)

More importantly, marijuana is often prescribed to people suffering from horrific disease (cancer, HIV etc.) And it is hard as a legislator or public official to be publicly against these people having anything at all that will ease their pain. So as long as doctors continue to prescribe it, I think lessened regulations to the general public are a matter of time. At the very least I believe we are just a few years away from ceasing the incarceration of marijuana users, but that's another topic.

But like any good legal trend, it starts in California.

  4. I doubt it. Just be like me and get a licence. Saves the trouble.
