  1. Yes they will They have to If they want to stay Competitive

  2. Can't imagine otherwise. Fielder will have reached arbitration eligibility, so he'll be due a hefty (heh) increase, but he's still a few years from free agency.

Depends on how much of a dolt Melvin wants to be -- go through arbitration, offer a one-year deal, or go for a multi-year deal that buys out one or two seasons of free agency.

I wouldn't sign him past his age 32 season. He's a big, bulky guy; trends show that morphic build has lots of problems after the prime years. After 32, let him be someone else's problem.

  3. There is speculation that the Brewers will try to trade him in the offseason because he will not sign (so far) a long term contract that buys out his arbitration years.  Fielder is a Boras client and is looking for a huge payday that the Brewers may not be able to afford.  I believe he will spend at least 1 more season in a Brewers uniform.

  4. lol....they will

  5. Yes, but it will come at an expensive price.

  6. probably they can get it done...............

  7. Ok ...I'll bite ...why would they need to do this when he can't become a free agent until 2012?
