Was based off of an actual person with echolalia?

I have actually been wondering this for a while, but I only recently thought to ask it on here.

  1. Not liekly becasue this myth was used to explain the presence of an echo in mountains. Also a with Echolalia usually repeats the whole sentence, whereas in the story it is usually only the last word
