Hi. I am a university student transferring to UBC from Australia. However, my study permit was applied under Uni of Toronto. The officer in the Canadian Embassy in Sydney told me that I need to re-submit the application in order to change the institution and it would take approximately another 2 months. I have not enough time to do that already. I wish to study in vancouver but when I applied, I had not received the offer from UBC yet. Actually I find this kind of policy is not reasonable. My question is that, how likely it is to be permitted by the immigration officer when I arrive in Canada? What if he refuses? Then means I will be exclude from Canada? Or will I be forced to study in Uof T that I have applied visa for?

I have already registered..

Note: I have some friends from my hometown tried this before, they were allowed to do so. Some of them say that as long as the changed institution has the same standard as the the applied one. And UBC should has the same standard as UofT
