Would it be better if it were closer to a short ram intake?

  1. yes

  2. Hey,

A better thing to do would buy a set of hood spacers (or just use washers)..

They lift up the back of your hood to let out the hot air, these work great and add a different look to your car, and unlike putting in vents you can take em out if you sell your ride or for any other reason,

You just put the hood spacers (or washers) in underneath were your hood attaches to the hinges.

    Heres a little about em

The truth is fans just blow around the air thats already hot so it wouldnt really do much,

  3. You could, but i dont see why you would want to if everything is working as it should.  If its not working as it should adding fans won't solve the problem.

  4. it depends, your radiator fan does just that, but the fan clutch kicks off the fan at a certain speed because the air moving in from the grill is more efficient than the fan, the fan actually slows the wind down.  So if your in the city and not taking the highway, yea you can jerry rig something up, but in all honesty it probably wont do much for ya, try putting in a scoop in your hood, or vents for the side of your engine bay
