  1. just for a tourist/visit/business visa you can travel with your present passport. But , if u are thinking of taking a dependent visa for your wife, then the husbands name has to be there in her passport

  2. No. It is not compulsory. If both of you have already got visas then there is no problem. If you need to apply for your wife's visa after you reach Dubai then you have to apply for her visa locally in Dubai. One of the documents you will need to submit is an Affidavit signed by you and attested by the Indian Consulate in Dubai declaring that ... is your wife. For this you will need to carry your original marriage certificate to Dubai.

Please be aware that Dubai has a minimum salary criteria for a person to sponsor his family. The salary certificate must be issued by the company who is sponsoring you.

  3. in uae passports they used to write "wife of...." in a woman's passport as u may or may not know the women always keep their father's name on marriage.  i am british and was married to an emirati and in my british passport they wrote wife of.....to satisfy the authorities, however thngs may have changed and im not sure if it is mandatory.  one thing that will be important will be yr marriage certificate u will need that for sure.

  4. Yes.

  5. For taking a dependent visa the naturalization department will check your name in wife's passport.

But if you have a marriage certificate duly attested and legally translated, just give a copy of the same while applying for family visa. Then no matter whether your wife's name in your passport or vice versa.

But of course, you must attest and leaglly translate to arabic, your marriage certificate for applying a family visa for your wife.

    Thx
