Is it me, or does there seem to be a scary amount of natural disasters happening at the moment?

With today's 7.8 earthquake in China, Burma cyclone, Thailand floods, Chilean Volcano, storm hit US states, tornadoes, its sort of strange don't you think?

Yeah, not only are those events unsettling, Ive had this growing pit in my stomach all year, sort of like a shiver down my back. The earth goes through tough periods (dinosaurs extinction, the ice age) But the thing that is the most creepy is something that the myas predicted. As you know they had a calender that went on for 100's and 100's of years. But for some reason it completely ends and haults in 2012 and they predicted a huge change. Freaky right? And scientist have been recording temperatures around the world and study shows that the average temperature of the world has gone down. So we are not headed slowly for global warming, we are on our way to an ice age

I have just started to make myself turn off Fox and CNN news at night now because these disasters and human suffering is depressing the he11 out of me!  I think these disasters seem to come in waves or cycles, like we had Katrina and Rita a couple years ago and that horrible tsunami.  I feel so bad for the people who are devastated by these tornadoes recently. My heart goes out to them and I realize that it could also be us going through the same thing (I'm in east Texas) because we've had numerous tornado warnings and a couple touched down, but it could happen anytime here.

I was feeling really bad for the people in Burma, then I hear of the 7.8 quake in China....geez.

Yes, it's very unsettling. And with the economy going crazy like it is, I don't have a good feeling about anything right now.

I don't think its more that what usually happens..

Seems like the weather, price of gas and food and wars and violence all together gets more and more scary by the day.
