  1. I agree with that statement If you take the words "kids from fighting on the playground" and replaced them with,  "disciplining or paying any attention at all to their children."

    They being the parents. not the schools.


  2. I've heard this argument before, and I agree with it.  If kids were allowed the small skirmishes, they wouldn't escalate into large scale violence as often.

  6. When I went to school there was only once when a police officer had to come on campus.  Now days there is a cop parked there all day, every day.

  8. I suspect it goes back as far as taking corporal punishment away from the schools.
