Let's break this down.

Fabregas.  2-2 4-0 1-0

Alonso Gerrard.  1-0 3-0 and it would appear that Gerrard, who went missing during both games, is still missing.

Ballack etc.  Lost out to United in PL and CL.

Not really, Scholes is a great shooter, Carrick is one of the best passers of the ball, Anderson is always full of energy (even when jet lagged) and Hargreaves can play midfield and defense and can also take great free kicks against Arsenal.

As far as I know... aren't they most of the players who helped Man united win the double...yes!

Well when they're healthy Carrick and Owen are more than capable. Scholes has still got it (now if we can get him to remember he's not playing volleyball out there...) see the second leg against Barca and Anderson can put most of, if not all of those names in his back pocket on a daily basis...so I'd say the midfield is in good shape.

me thinks carrick,hargreaves, scholes and anderson are pretty decent..it's performance that matters and did'nt they prove that last season, they could well repeat that this year..who knows the seasons only started

are you trying to say Man Utd's midfield isn't strong enough because if you are you couldn't be more wrong, you have named 4 quality players there (who most clubs would love to sign) and we only play with 2 CM's so we always have 2 quality back up players.

Now your comparisons you have only named 2 players from Arsenal so quite clearly ours is stronger and to be honest i would only want Fabregas, Liverpool only 3 and i would only want Gerrard out of that trio, no doubting that Alonso and Mascherano are quality but i would happily take any 1 of our 4 over them, the only team that match ours is Chelsea because like us they have 4 quality CM's competing for 2 positions

so no United haven't forgotten about their central midfield there is just absolutely no reason to strengthen it!

THANK YOU THANK YOU.I though that I was the only one who actually saw that the central midfielders of manU were weak and pathetic. No tilte for ManU this season it's gonna be fun.

After watching Manchester United playing the rest of the big 4 watching how young Fabregas out class them chelsea's essien and lampard also did the same I won't even go to Liverpool. they need to improve in that area manu will no play the type of football that we have come accustom to until C.Ronaldo returns Please note ManU are not the best in the world
