Question:

Is it me or everyone else who’s crazy?

The Swiss Federal Ethics Committee on Non-Human Biotechnology has issued a report saying that plants have certain inalienable rights simply by virtue of being living things and we can't just do whatever we want with them. Is veggie liberation the next great environmental cause? No water boarding the asparagus, I am not joking! That's exactly where this highway goes to.

But this is now, and now we want to turn food into gasoline when millions are starving, and create very toxic rechargeable batteries laced very hazardous cancer-causing chemicals to fight against a perhaps a 1 to 3 degree increase in 100 or so years, like that would be so bad while the heavy metals in the drinking water would be one h**l of a deal for the Global Warming industry to sign onto.

Is it me or the environmentalists who’s crazy?

What is a movement of turnip heads called?

  1. Welcome to the asylum mate!

It sounds like you are as crazy as me.

If we are crazy we should be proud of our insanity, because if having a functional brain, and not just believing the BS that we are constantly being fed, means we are 'crazy' then it is a banner which we should wave proudly!

I appreciate this info. I had not heard about this one before, yet it does not really surprise me too much considering everything else which is currently going on.

This just reinforces what I have said before

The lunatics are now in control of the asylum!

    Where is it going next?

  2. LOL.

I guess the next step for vegans is to start eating mineral-rich mud.

Envirofundamentalism is just the new Scientology, and Al Gore is their L. Ron Hubbard.  They cart out their cult-friendly "scientists" to support their claims (just like Hubbard had thousands of "scientists" to back his claims), and millions of gullible people, who spew self-induced ignorance, believe it because they simply just do know any better.

    It's amazing really.

I always complained in school that we learned everything imaginable about the n**i atrocities of WW2, but not a single moment was given to try to understand and explain how so many Germans could look away or even boast "fair vengeance" when Jews were shipped away in trains by the tens of thousands at a time.  I was always scolded for being inconsiderate and (by one teacher) a n**i sympathizer... but I thought that the most important lesson to be remembered was HOW a mass of people could allow themselves to be so easily deceived and manipulated, so that it could never happen again.

But now I'm seeing it with my own eyes.  History repeating itself once again.

While the left likes to label everyone they oppose as a "n**i", the truth is, they are willingly buying into a hoax just as readily as the German people did when the n***s told them that the Jews were the source of all their problems.

I guess people just like to have easy answers to things.  And once they hear that politicians, the media,   and "scientists" are backing up the claims, they assume that they cannot be lying and so it must be true.

Hitler had a consensus scientists proving Jews were vermin and sub-humans too.  The German media supported it (now we know it was propaganda, but at the time, it was "factal reporting".)  And politicians assured everyone that happier times would come as the Jews were removed from society... and, what do you know, it certainly did!

So it's not you who is crazy.  It's just that people continue to be so easily and willingly manipulated by others with a more heinous and horrific agenda, and by the time they realize they've been lied to, it will be far too late.

  3. I had to look into this.

It seems so bizarre, but it does seem that it is true!

At least from what I have seen so far.

Being basically sceptical of nearly everything I see or hear today, especially on the internet I felt I should check it out before making a comment.

    One excerpt reads as follows:

'The committee offered this illustration: A farmer mows his field (apparently an acceptable action, perhaps because the hay is intended to feed the farmer's herd--the report doesn't say). But then, while walking home, he casually "decapitates" some wildflowers with his scythe. The panel

decries this act as immoral, though its members can't agree why.'

IF this statement is correct it completely invalidates one of the comments made about it having to do with patents!

As this seems to be the way everything else is going today, it really does not surprise me.

I am proud to be considered  'crazy' when trying to have a conversation with a lunatic.

  4. On some things it's them, on some you.  Some are in the middle.

"Veggie liberation" is a few crazy people.  Things like that happen.  You're right on that.

Food shortages are mostly due to drought, and increased meat consumption around the world.  Biofuels are a minor factor (we just don't use that much).  But you're partly right.

A 1-3 degree rise would be very damaging to modern society, with massive coastal development, and intensive agriculture.  We're no longer nomads who can pack the tents and move.  Details of the damage:

    On that one, it's you.

  5. Yep, it's you.

Plants have the same rights not to have their DNA patented and owned by a private company as you do.

How would you like to be told that having children is patent infringement?  Which is crazier: Plant rights or someone else owning your DNA?

  6. its about patents.

you know, big businesses saying 'i'll have that, you cant grow it anymore unless you pay me' to peasants and farmers. there have been several test cases; its not fair, and the big greedy companies are to be stopped.

talk about taking something out of context! youre not crazy, thats quite a clever bit of disinformation you put together there, bit truth, bit twisting, bit outright lie and a good dose of emotive language and insult.. well done.

  7. Not a question, yours. More a statement.  A valid one at that, right up to:

"to fight against a perhaps a 1 to 3 degree increase in 100 or so years"

Sorry, mate.  The three degree increase is disastrous, and it's not a hundred years away.  It's here now.

    Hate to burst your bubble.

Get ready.  The plane has been swinging for a while.  The pendulum is ready.  First cold, then warm, then cold, then warm.  Eons of this.  But, the pendulum always wins.  It always stabilizes.

But, this time, it stabilizes to the right of normal.

This rock we live on has no care for the folk that inhabit it.  It is way larger than hopes or morality. Keep hoping.  Keep dreaming.

    But, get ready.

I know you've heard this before, again and again, from fallout shelters to avian flu, but I suggest you hold on.  You ain't seen nothing yet.

  8. You are sane. Very sane.

The enviro-n**i's absolutely will NOT tolerate any discussion, or critical analysis. It is open and shut with them, facts or none at all, it makes no difference.

I am about as green as they come, going way beyond the silly little "feel good" things advertised in the media. I would encourage everyone to take REAL steps to limit their environmental impact. But I have no intention of forcing my ways on you, nor do I get too excited about the rights of a dandelion, when we have lots of human misery issues to solve first.
