Is it me or is he just envious?

So i have a really good friend let's call him A.A called me 5 min. ago and said "why do you act like you're so rich,popular and better then everyone else!?" i said "I never had done any of what you just said". So he hangs up on me.I call 7 people and told them what happen and they said they never seen me act like that.I'm not one of those kids who act rich,stuck-up,snooty,and who thinks they are better than everyone else.I'm just a kid who treats everyone like a regular person living life.Is he envious or is he just trying to make everyone think i'm a bad kid?

It sounds a bit like he is envious. I think that maybe you should talk to him and sort out whatever issues he has with you, but seeing as he has started spreading rumors I would think that this friendship is not going to last and you need to find friends that will actually respect you and not turn on you.
