  1. People just aren't educated. They think they want the government to step in financially take care of it's citizens, but at what cost?

We have to look no further than Canada to see the effects of universal "socialized" healthcare.

1)Folks in that country pay almost 50% of their salary back in taxes to support these concepts.

2)The quality of care is not good. Canada has outlawed private insurance and forced all of it's citizens to public healthcare. The advancements in medical research have suffered and compared to the Canada, the US has much more advanced medical breakthroughs.

I for one, am not interested in giving up 50% of my income to the government for public healthcare and I'm not interested in losing the quality of healthcare that we already have in the US.

Look to Europe and see if it's been any more successful. Nope. Europeans pay out of the nose for taxes and the only good thing is they used to a 35 hour work week.

No thanks to socialism or the extreme - communism

  2. this isn't Russia, nice try

  3. Americans don`t want the government making our shoes or as you call it Communism. The youth just shares the world view that we are all in this together.

  4. We can only hope it is moving away from the right wing disaster that has befallen us over the past 8 years. Anyone who respects that has his priorities up his ***!

  5. It sure seems like it at times.  Overwhelmingly so these past months...

  6. Let's see, 7 out of the last ten presidential elections, Republicans.  Um, no.

  7. I think what we're seeing, is that this election is about oil. McCain being for it, Obama being against it. That fits the description of how the two candidates stand on the war as well. And I don't think oil and the Iraq war are unrelated, do you??

McCain/Palin are taking the fight to oil resources (Iraq, Russia),

Obama/Biden are taking on Al Qaeda via Afghanistan and Pakistan, and Diplomatic, multi nation pressure on Iran.

here's some solid evidence, the Democrats vs Big oil. it's the closest to real information that you're going to find, because it's direct from the horse's mouth, under oath, and both sides contend the other is dishonest. it's up to you to determine which side you believe. but it's hard to ignore motive, when it's coming out of Sarah Palin's mouth.

  8. It oscillates back and forth.  With Reagen and the first Bush we were conservative to moderate.  With Clinton we moved to socially liberal and economically moderate.  Then the second Bush moved us to socially conservative and economically moderate.  These 2 candidates show a move back to center with one, and left with the other.  If the Dems win this time around, they will control the Presidency and both houses of congress.  I can see a huge backlash to conservatism in either 2012 or 2018.

  9. If you think the nation is moving left it is apparent that either you have a balance problem or are too young to realize we have been moving to the right since that cowboy movie actor was president. The fascist right has been very successful in persuading the majority of Americans that the nation is in danger from people who are concerned with the welfare of the less fortunate. By the way the  terrorists are not communists, they are religious zealots. What you should worry about is that the middle class is shrinking away and that is a fact.

  10. The country is getting more divided.  I think there may be more liberals today than previously, but that is only because the right has moved so far right that those previously thought to be moderate are now considered left wing

  11. Not as long as we patriots have guns. That may be why the Dem's want to take our weapons away.Just like Hitler.

  12. It's you. Communism never won anything, much less a war.
