Is it me or should i call the cops?

i was at the neighborhood pool with my bestfriend, and this one guy was like 40 and started talking to us for like a min, and we walked away. then he actually followed us 2 my house and hid in my bushes and then we walked to my friends house since she lives 2 houses away, and he watched where we went. we stayed up that night and we were sitting on my balcony and we saw him come back at 5 in the morning, and he kept doing that. i told my parents, and she told hers. my parents said just stay away from him, but he keeps coming back and looking at my window, and its creeping me out. should i call the cops? what would i tell them

Yes call them.  Not sure what they could do but at least it will be on record that you are having problems with this guy.  He sounds like he's up to no good.  Be carefull.

Yes, I would report it. You should write down a list of times and dates where these things happened for the police. Your parents should be involved as well. It is possible whatever he is up to could escalate to something more dangerous, so it's better to deal with it now.

or put some bear traps in your bushes he hides in, or shoot him...

or follow him home one day and set fire to his house...

probably best if you just got a dog though, or call the police

There's an old term called a "peeping Tom."  Call the cops and let them see what law covers what he is doing.

Yes, you should report this to the police and you should also gather evidence to show them. Grab a digital cam corder, or perhaps your cell phone camera. MAKE SURE HE DOESN'T SEE YOU filming him so that you can catch him in the act.

After you have evidence, have an adult ask him what he wants or needs from you all, and have him explain why he keeps going over to where you girls are at.

Then, if it's creeping you out, have an adult tell him that you don't want him near your house, and that if he doesn't back off, you are going to report him.

If he doesn't back off, tel the police and perhaps you might even want to file a restraint order against him. What this is, is a paper telling him to stay away from you and if he doesn't then you can have him arrested.

Then, make sure he isn't on Megan's list. He might be a pedo and that's not good. Stay safe, never be alone at home, at least not now that this stalker is hanging out. I went through a few of these myself and trust me, I know how scary it is.

This is going to sound horrible, but very effective.  Sit down immediately and write a list of dates or times you have seen him.  Your friend too.  Post it on the fridge.  Yeap, right out there for every one to see.  The very next time, you see him start SCREAMING.  I men SCREAMING at the top of your lungs!  Do not hold back.  SCREAM in complete sentences, so he as well as anyone near can hear:  THAT MAN IS BACK LOOKING IN MY WINDOW AGAIN!  HE IS WEARING.....HE RAN THAT WAY!  HE IS PEEPING AT ME!  HE HAS FOLLOWED ME AND MY FRIENDS!  Do not back down, do not quiet down, make someone, if even not your parents hear you and be LOUD.  Make some one call the police.
