  1. My pension check is this insanely little thing I live off of and I paid taxes when I put it in and I pay a huge chunk now that they are sending it back to me.  When the first reorganization came it knocked $25  a month off of what I was having withheld.  I don't know what that means to you all but that meant I could keep cable TV.  And now they are sending checks back?  I am sure there are dire consequences somewhere but I would rather take the money then have them build a bridge to nowhere or support another pork barrel issue.  When I see that Obama just got $52 million to finance his campaign and McCain got $27 million and I think that all we really have to do is say, election on Tuesday here are the names, and not spend those horrendous amounts, I will take the $600 and spend it!  I bought a small a/c unit which is a real blessing.  Everyone is talking about what they are going to do for me but the current president is the only one who ever showed me the money so to speak.  I may not agree with all of his decisions but I am not going to bad mouth the guy.

  2. It was a ploy to get you accustomed to accepting money from the government that you did not earn.

    It worked, didn't it?

Communism's motto, "To each by his needs. From each by his ability."

You didn't produce it, but since you "needed" it, they gave it to you. That's right, you are looking straight into the face of communism - and perhaps it has slapped you after all.

  3. If you don't want your rebate, I'll gladly take it off your hands

  4. Only in Massachusetts, they raise taxes when the Fed. returns it. Come on up to the northeast.

  5. Well as I understand it,our government borrowed the money from china for the rebates...and we turned around and bought products from china, mostly from walmart,so yea I guess .

  6. A slap in the face and a nice big con job. You get the economy in the red with a lot of people needing money to get things and then you offer a gift and hope against hope that you don't have to pay it back. It's like in the days when crack cocaine first came to the United States and the dealers gave these parties the dope was free at first cause it only took one hit then you were hooked and the rest you had to buy.....

  7. It was a typical Republican con job. If you felt your face was slapped, remember how if felt when you go to the polls in November, and vote out ALL Republicans, they ALL have to go!!

You are going to vote, right??
