  1. No, they should donate all that stuff to the unfortunate poor, and later when they die they'll go directly to heaven and be with all the dead old priests praying all the time along with all the poor beggars in rags also praying to the bearded guy wearing white Iraqi robes for all eternity, while all the greedy people who worked hard, played hard and kept all their stuff will have to join all the s**y swingers who are having fun parties 24/7 in h**l for the rest of eternity. Amen.

  2. Yeah, that's pretty sad in my book.

  3. What a stupid question.

You might find that most of what you listed.....

live in a nice home, drive a nice car, have a nice family...?

have a good bank account, own thier own boat, go on family vacations, eat out twice a week at least, have a nice place to socialize every sunday...

Has a lot more to do with getting our butts out of bed and working.

  4. Absolutely,  Everything that everyone has is because God gave it to them.

  5. Yes. As long as they not stealing from the church.

  6. Hahha, Sloth, Pride, Greed and Gluttony.

    Try again.

  7. Brilliant! I absolutely adore how you have taken it to these people! They don't read our journals or listen to our lectures! Now it's time to take them out! Spirtually speaking, of course!

  8. Ironic, isn't it? d**n republicans...

  9. I think the scriptures refer to that as a "slothful and not a wise (or grateful) servant".  This is also why the Lord warns against those who are materialistically prosperous - because it often leads MEN down the road to ingratitude, pride and away from God all together.  Not always of course - but OFTEN

  10. No, the philosophy of Christianity is un-natural act of self sacrifice (suicide).  So as long as there are others suffering, your not being christian.  Mother Theresa is a good role model.

If you can't or won't do it, it's because you morally appose it too. Try another moral code that you do agree with.

There are others that are based on rational self interest that are much more natural.  Like "Objectivism"

  11. Is it morally right for anyone who are this blessed to gripe?

  12. Christians have more rights than other minorities in many Western democratised countries. They should pay a levy for that privilege.

  13. Blessed are the poor!

Realistically people need a home to raise kids, they need a car to get from a to b, nothing wrong in being social! nothing wrong in eating out either.

But here's where you get it right, we are not supposed to have to much excess, we don't need a huge house we don't need a new car, we don't need to eat out we don't need the vacations. we do need to give are excess to the poor and live a humble lifestyle, but we want to be like all the rest, some even boast and brag, thinking God has favoured them with riches, that's bull, if God gives you plenty it is so you can pass it on to those in need. It's all about sharing the wealth, it all breaks down otherwise as we see in poor countries, people starving to death, for want of charity. if you get a thousand a week, how much could you live on? some can raise a family, drive a car and eat well on 3 hundred a week so you could be feeding 100 families a week on the excess. This is what Jesus wanted. feed the hungry and help the poor,

  14. it's fine. as long as you're not greedy about it and generous. Christ calls us to a high standard.

  15. Sounds like you would like to persecute them a little bit..but I hope they don't see it as anything serious...

  16. 1) I don't think Christians are persecuted in the USA.

    2) HOWEVER, there are other kinds of persecution besides the material ones.

    3) Nonetheless, they have less right to gripe than American atheists.

  17. If someone's being currently persecuted then yes. Would you like being randomly persecuted by some random jerk on the internet?

  18. Key word gripe.

Griping is a sin no matter what situation is.

  19. It's not morally right for them to say they are persecuted because they're not.  Christians in this country don't know what real persecution is.  Yes, people make fun of them, but if some of them didn't run around judging and condemning everyone, that probably wouldn't happen.  Disagreement or refusal to believe as you do does not constitute persecution.

  20. Jezebel, It is my observation most Christians who have the lifestyle you describe do not claim to be persecuted.  At least the ones I know don't.  The Christians who have every right to feel persecuted live in countries like China, many countries in Africa and the Middle East. They have the right to feel this way.... because they are persecuted.

In most Western countries, we have the privilege to worship as we please.  When my front door is kicked in during the middle of the night and my family is dragged away, beaten or murdered for our religious beliefs.  I will feel persecuted.

  21. Actually no

    It says so right here:

    Matthew 6:19

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

    Luke 14:33

Any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.

    Matthew 19:21

Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

    Hebrews 13:5

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

    Acts 2:44-45

All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.

  22. No, it is not morally aliened with what the bible says a Christians life should consist of. However, that does not stop Churches from changing the message to God wants you to succeed and having church leaders drive nicer vehicles than most the congregation. Not to mention Churches refuse to share their earnings with the government even though the extra income would greatly help lower tax rates for the common man.

  23. Well nobody in the Western world is persecuted nor starving. Not on a global scale. People get their entire families executed in front of them every day for their religious convictions. That, to me, is persecution.

  24. Christian persecution usually takes a religious tone. It has nothing to do with the blessings God has bestowed upon the believer. Still, James calls upon Christians to count it all joy when we are persecuted and says blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

  25. You have that right- they have NO clue about what persecution is.

  26. yup.  the point is are they willing to give up all that stuff for what they believe in?

r  u willing to give me a best answer?

  27. Would you define"nice?"

I have a 91 Subaru wagon that isn't starving, so I can still be a Christian. I agree with that.

  28. I don't know if it can be defined as a 'moral' issue...I do feel that an ungrateful heart and stingy spirit will just bring these people more unhappiness then any of their worldly possessions could ever make up for.
