Is it inappropriate or strange to wear a skirt to an interview for a position as a server?

  2. You would be better off wearing pants. A skirt, unless maybe a pencil skirt, does not give off a good impression all the time.

  3. Appropriate, that I really don't know.

    However, it shows that you'd be more functional in pants. Thus, I would pick that. It's more practical to what you'd be doing, and will be noticed to be sure.

  5. No, but if it comes more than an inch above the knee than you may want to seriously rethink your outfit.

    Keep the length longer and you'll be fine. Pants and skirts when worn appropriately are both fine for any work setting.  

  6. It depend on the length of the skirt. It's not inappropriate, but definitely make sure it falls below the knee so that you look professional. And solid, dark colors are your best bet.
