Is it more difficult to get pregnant at 39 yrs???

Question

With my first 3 pregnancies I got pregnant within a month of ttc.

Now we are ttc almost since 4 months.. It is so frustrating.

Do you think that you are less fertile with 39 years ?

unfortunately your chances of getting pregnant does decrease as you get older. You will probably still get pregnant though, it only takes one sperm and one egg. Just a little longer this time going around. Good luck and lots of baby dust for you!!!!

from the age of 35 fertility in women rapidly decreases and the chance of having a baby with downs rapidly increases. however, lots of women still get pregnant at your age. 4 months of ttc is nothing, its just that in the past you've been lucky to be ultra fertile, a lot of us on here have been trying for a lot longer and we are much younger.

  there is a test you can have from doc or even buy from boots to find out how many eggs you have left.

   bear in mind that men's fertility also decreases with age.

Yes, your fertility does decrease as you get older. I have 3 children, my 1st wasn't planned, I missed one pill and got pregnant, she's 8 now. My 2nd I got pregnant within a month. My 3rd took 2 months, he's nearly 4. We're ttc #4 and we've been trying nearly 4 months now. I know how you feel, it's hard not to worry when you've conceived quickly in the past. In theory your fertility does decrease, however having said that I am 27 and been trying now for nearly a year. Dont stress is the key (I keep telling myself that!) stress really is a bad thing and can throw your hormones out which then decrease the chances of pregnancy.

My best mate is 38 and she conceived by accident, therefore not planned, just a one off. She now has a bouncing baby girl of 6months!

yes you are less fertile.
