  1. Install a progamable thermostat. Example: When you are there set at 75. Chg temp for sleep 73. When you leave set to 80 set for return at 75.  A 5 degree difference will save you a few bucks and not run too long to cool back down. You know what I mean?

  2. I use a contoller that regulates the temperature throughout the day.  I had it set to a higher temp when I was at work.  It kicks abck to my normal temp right before I get home.  I talked to the AC guy about this and he said that as long as the temp difference is not more than 2 or 3 degrees, that would be fine.  He said if you set it for say like 5 degree difference, then you AC has to do some heavy work to cool it down that much.  So you may save a little, but you will have to get your CA replaced sooner.
