Question:

Is it my arial or bad reception.i keep getting no signal or poor signal on digital channels via freeview.?

when the weather is hot or stormy digital veiwing is near impossible.i get either a message saying poor signal or no signal.the picture is badly distorted or none at all.when the weather is cooler or calm the picture is very good.Do i need another arial[i have a channel 5 receiver arial] or is the the future of digital television?

  1. Sounds like you have marginal signal strength for digital. Digital TV is broadcast at a lower power than analogue - this will change when analogue is switched off.

    Answer : Check all aerial connections. But you may need a higher gain aerial and/or signal booster.


  2. hi, if you can afford it get a new aerial. we had really poor signal and got the signal booster and it was a complete waste of money. then we moved into a new house (less than 5 mins away so signal should be same here) and had a new aerial fitted and haven't had a problem since.

  3. Try buying a booster it will help .We use one in Wales where its bad getting a signal  And we have a free view box

  4. if your set is conneted to an analog vcr,try taking leeds out.it worked for us reasently.
