vehicle is an 85 Chevy K20 3/4 ton pickup with a 305 V8. The engine has a less than 7,000 miles on it. My truck runs great with running and in park or driving down the road. When I am stopped at a stop light or stop sign the engine shakes and it runs like c**p. It just started doing this. I am not sure what is wrong with it.

  1. My suggestion would be to take it back to the shop that changed out the motor. You should have at least a one year 12,000 mile warranty on it. They can run diagnostics on it to determine the source of your problem. It could be too many things to just guess at it.

  2. could have a vacuum leak and you only notice it when you are stopped..could try spraying carb cleaner on the vacuum lines to see if the engine changes, then you know where the problem is.....

  3. Turn the idle up a pinch.  It's running too slow.
