Is it nearly impossible to start a service based business in California?

I have heard that painting, cleaning, lawn care, and all of that is so dominated by Mexicans that it is impossible for an American to compete in LA and SF.

first, it would appear that the question should be, "is it possible for you to start a business?"

lots of new businesses start up every year.

are you going to want to work for the going wages?

is your work good enough that people will want you to come back?

yep, this is all about your ability, and willingness, to work.
