Is it neccesary to bring along a baby applicant for his passport at the embassy??

im applying for a british passport for my baby his 3months old.is it nessesary for my babies appearance at the uk embassy?please email me as soon as possible.tnx so much.0

  1. yes it is, for if you did not? how would they know if it is the right child? we apply for a child passport and had to bring the child along ,but that was another country, so rules varies from country to country.......

    here is the check list you will need,

    When you apply for a first 5-year child passport please include:

    completed application form*

    two identical passport photos, one certified

    documents that prove the child is British

    payment.

    When you apply to renew a child passport please include:

    completed application form*

    two identical passport photos, one must be certified is the child is aged 11 or under

    the child’s current or last passport

    payment.

    *Note: if you use the online application form, we will print it out and send it to you to sign. When you post it back to us you should also send your child’s documents/last passport and photos.

    And remember, when the passport arrives, check it carefully. Please make a note of the passport number or take a photocopy of the page showing your child’s details and keep it in a safe place.
