Is it necessary 2 have a painful root canal when there are cavities.Is it possible 2 neglect the treatment?

Root canal is very painful.?Is there a alternative treatment?

I have had 4 root canals and they are not painful.There are times when an infection develops after-wards and you will be given antibiotics.

No lady.... Root Canal Treatment is NOT painful... it is even less painful than a regular filling of cavity.. perhaps someone exaggerated their experience of the dentist's chair.... a small local anesthesia will be all the pain u will have to endure....

And... Another NO for the first question... u don't have to go for a root canal treatment every time.... In fact, one Very rarely needs a root canal...unless one's tooth is bad enough so as the filling is not possible, which happens generally due to age...

And.. a third NO for the last one.... U SHOULDN'T neglect any treatment concerning teeth... coz it will only worsen things, and ultimately u have to go for the treatment at some point of time... There's just no escaping it... And don't worry.... u will only feel the pain if u think u will.... There's just a spasm of pain and nothing else...

So go ahead and keep that smile on... :-)
