Is it necessary to include a direction card in my wedding invitation ensemble?

I have some out of town guest but they are fimiliar with the area. Is it mandotory that we have a direction card in our invitations? I really don't want to add them because the printer that we got our invitations from did not offer direction cards and I don't want different grades of paper. Thanks in Advance!

It's just a good idea, simply because it might help avoid a difficult moment on your special day.

Just because they are familiar with the area doesn't necessarily mean they will find the location with no problem. You could always print a little note on the bottom of the invite suggesting to your guests to visit google maps or their map site of choice if they would like directions to the event.

I worry that there might be trouble, simply because my friends, who grew up in our town, have trouble remembering where things are and how to get around since they moved away nearly two years ago. Old information is constantly replaced with new.

Either way, it is completely up to you, but I suggest you strongly consider it.

No, what you can do if print some just incase people ask.  Also, print the directions on your wedding website.
