  1. Yes. so that people become aware of what is happeing around them, specially the crimes of domestic helps and the so called love affairs.

  2. I do agree that there is no need to elaborate the crime scenes and picturize them.

Of the basic purposes of the media, providing information about happenings in the society, is vital.

Some TV channels are describing and picturising the way a crime has been committed, which gives an idea to some people, who may try them.

There are cases where certain crimes are done being inspired by movies , this has to be controlled

  3. In a way it is beneficial to the general public as it makes them aware and alert of the extent of crime taking place, and media is all about letting people know about their surroundings.

  4. It is not at all necessary to telecast crime stories in TV but in order to get top TRP the producers wish to telecast the interesting serials in which crime is No. 1. Secondly, when TRP of a serial is high it attracts more more advertisements.as a result producers getting more and more profit.

  5. Of course it isn't necessary.  Producers know that people are interested and can sell the story.  That is the television business.

  6. Though the opinion will defer person to person but mine is

1.) I tells averyone that what kind of crime can happend

           withthem also

2.) Anyone if plannig to do so they come to know that

they can be cought by any way

As u might have seen in medical detective in Discovery

chennel        but          on the other hand        it also

           give ideas to oters too.
