  1. as i do not believe they have a cooling system i suggest either you drain the gas out and run the engine until it shuts off from no gas or put gas preservative in the gas and run it for a few minutes to get the gas through the lines and crab and it should be fine

  2. the biggest concern with any small engine is the liquids. the oil goes stale, water can rust inside (if it is a water cooled item) and the gas gets gummy.   if the gas does get gummy or lacquerish, it will not only be hard to start, but will clog up things like your fuel line and carburetor or fuel injectors. key here is not to let it get to that point so you will just need a yearly tune up and not repair work. I would at least suggest a fuel additive for your brand which the dealer can recommend and if possible give it a start once in a while when it is not in use. the use it or lose it mentality tends to work when it comes to small engines.

  3. if you don't winterize it, will be hard to start next year

  4. I wouldn't run it out of fuel. Just add Stabile to your gas so it won't turn into varnish.

  5. These don't need much.

If it is stored in a cool place the gas won't loose too much octane, but I would want the level to be low, and then fill it with fresh gas before you use it next year.

It doesn't hurt to fog the engine by spraying some fogging oil

into the air intake as you shut the engine off. Just follow the directions on the can.

These engines are self draining, so no problem there.

Taking the battery out and recharging it once a month is a good idea as well.
