the cello is awesome.

and no one will really care if you play the cello, if they think that playing an instrument makes you nerdy, their priorities and ideas are mixed up, and you should avoid those dorksicles at all costs.

People will tell you no because Apolocolyptica (the rock cello band) is big. I'm going to tell you no because its not in any sense of the word. I've played cello for 13 years and have never felt nerdy. Why? It's an intellectural, artistic and emotional pursuit that betters you as a person. If its something you enjoy, then its something you must do. In my life I've never really been considered nerdy. I play Bach and then I dance to Black eyed peas on the weekends. It's all good when you play cello baby!
