Question:

Is it normal? My brother's lip is twisted upwards...?

My brother's dentist did something with his teeth that are on the left of the two front teeth(upper rwo), now when he tries to smile or laugh, his upper lip goes up from a side and this makes him look a bit funny, even if not, we can't help laughing cause thats not usual way he laughed or smiled.

Please explain if it is a normal reaction of filling teeth and repairng them?

My mom is getting it kind of supersticiously.

  1. I have never seen that happen after filling or repairing them.  I think your mom should take him to another dentist or have a regular doctor look at it to see if the dentist did some kind of muscle or nerve damage.

  2. its not normal, most probably a nerve responsible for lip movement is traumatised or if the lip is numb, most probably its from anethesia, it may take seveal days and resolve

  3. use set of wires which hold ur brothers teeths
