I got my navel pierced about a week and a half ago, and I haven't had any problems except I've noticed that the top hole in my skin has been turning red around the bar, is that normal?

  1. no its not normal, poeple who feel like they are self efficiant or under alot of pressure and just want to hide get them. they are also horrible for your body. most piercings are. ive read a few books on it. it takes a wide varities of cancer and gives them to you, so its rising the risk of cancer. hope this helps

  2. yep, sounds normal. just don't mess with it & it'll be fine.

  3. Ya. i have got it done twice at the same time and it turned purple so i had to get the removed.

  4. yeah its normal... as long as ur cleanin at well and not touchin to much. You will know all about it if it gets infected!! happened to mine and i could bearly move it was so sore!!

  5. dont worry this is just a slight infection

its pretty common and hard to prevent but belly percings are sensitive to infection

its not serious though my girlfriend got hers done a while ago and it got infected even wen she was using the alcohol lotion but it was gone in 2 weeks

this sort of thing shud never last more than a month just keep it clean and it will fade

  6. Hi.

I got my navel peirced just before i turned 14, and mine stayed red for along time. In the end i thought there was somthing wrong, so i let it heal up. I then looked into it and found that it was a part of the healing process, its because the blood goes to the wound to heal it, as i read.

So you shouldnt be worried, i kept mine in a good 3 months and it was still red, but nothing was wrong.

    Im getting mine repeirced tomorrow,

Hope it didnt hurt to much when you had your peirced.

  7. Yeah it's just a little sensitive. but make sure you clean it with Bactine several times everyday, if you haven't already been doing that. I also washed my belly button with epsom salt and warm water and i never had any problems like infections and such. and since you just got it, don't touch it unless you're cleaning it. so if you do all that, it should be fine :)

  8. Yes it is normal! I have my belly pierced and at first it was red it went away eventually, Just keep using the anistetic they gave you :)

  20. ive had my belly button pierced for over 2 years, and no I dont think your skin turning red is normal. that might be a sign its getting infected. does it hurt if you touch it?  remember to clean it 3 times a day with a gentle antibacterial soap (NOT DIAL) and use  a salt water treatment for the first 6 months.

  21. mhmm, perfectly normal. when you think about it, you just got jammed with a needle a week ago...your body needs a little time to get used to it. but yes, perfectly normal. =]
