Is it normal for Sago palms to have yellowish leaves?

One of my sago palms has a yellowish tint to some of the leaves. The others get yellow leaves as they die off for new growth, but this one's turn yellowish much earlier. Is that normal?

  1. No, it's not normal. They often yellow out in too hot direct sun, or if they need fertilizer. They yellow out in spots if there is scale on the leaves, a brown flat bug that looks like a tiny helmet.

    Have you fertilized?
