Is it normal for a 14 year old to want a baby?

seriously. i am 14 and i have been around babies me whole life. i just want to know if its like normal to have that feeling.

It is very normal. It takes a mature responsible young lady to not act on that desire and prepare herself to be able to take care of a child.  You may want one right now but are not ready for one. You have so much of your young adult life to live and live it up while you can because there's no going back.  Try babysitting.  That will give you more practice and probably satisfy your want of a baby for now.

It's not unusual to want a baby of your own SOME day and like babies, no. But it wouldn't be a good idea at all to try and have one while your 14.

honestly i'd say you're just clucky.

Being a young mum myself... i had my son when i was 15 - unplanned, i would suggest against having a baby so young. my friends kept saying 'awww i want one' and im like no you dont. don't get me wrong i LOVE my son to bits and everything went fine for me and wouldnt change anything for the world. It's most definitely hard. Although right choices can be made. I finished high school and now am in university.

Seriously just wait a few more years. it's better.

JUST WAIT!! please I would you want that... you have your whole life ahead of you. Look I got pregnant at 16, ok.... and please it's HARD, I when to school pregnant, and when to college no help. And still no help. The father is not around. So Your a child now sooooo please do 14 year old stuff. I'm sure if you would tell you Mother about it, sure she wouldn't be proud, that why you came on here cause you feel safe. so no dont do it!

No it is not. I NEVER wanted a baby at 14, something in your life is missing if you want to have a baby now. Try babysitting first and that will help................BIG TIME.

its normal to have the feeling.. but just dont take action on that just yet.. wait until ur prepared so u can give ur little on everything he or she needs.. work on school, getting a good education and living life for now.. ull have ur little one when ur ready .. good luck

It's normal, but its not normal to act on those feelings at your age. You're probably feeling the "want" for a baby for all the wrong reasons anyways. Finish your education and get married and have a stable life before you decide to have a baby.

I think it's fine. But I suggest unless you want your teen life to end early, wait until you're out of college or high school at minimum. If you don't care, then go for it! If you don't want to do the "bad thing", then just adopt ;]]

I think there are a surprising amount of young girls who have that feeling, but obviously it's an interest that should wait until you're older. It's probably just the fascination of babies and a female's natural inclination towards them, but either way, you probably don't want to have your own pregnancy and baby and the life that comes with it, just the novelty. Babies are not always amazing and adorable and honestly, to have one at fourteen can seriously hinder your goals to the point where you can't even go to school anymore.

I'm sure you know that, but to answer your question, yes, I think it's not uncommon or strange.

Its normal, I wanted one soo bad when I was about 14, but then it passed. lol I remember putting pillows in my shirt and rubbing my belly and everything I wanted one so bad. Just dont do anything that you'll regreat later on, and keep in mind how much work they really are, even though they truely are a blessing :). I ended up getting pregnant at 16, im 17 now. Just be sure that when you do have a baby that your ready.
