I think so, I have a brother in law who's wife, who bore his first born child about a year and a half ago, is 3-4 years older then him.  They got married and have been together for about 6 years now.  Its common,  some girls don't mind the age difference as long as the boy is mature.

it's a little strange. relationships usually work better when the guy's the older one. i don't see why not though. but be careful, since most girls don't date younger. it's a fact. maybe she's using you, like the others said.

By hook up you mean have s*x? Or go out? Usually girls dont date down. But if you like each other then you guys should do what you feel is best for the both of you. You should be careful though these days alot of 16 year old girls are getting a little premiscious. If thats how you spell it.
