I have a 2001 ML320 and i was in gear "Park" and pressed the accelerator for fun to make the engine noise. After i stopped, a little smoke started to come out of the left side of the engine. Is that normal after pressing the accelerator??? ( the max i pressed was only till 4000 rpm)

  1. You must have had the hood open to see the left side of the engine, and left means the driver side?

If the engine was already warmed up from prior driving, the smoke could just be condensate from a coolant leak, or a small oil leak where the oil came in contact with the engine block.

Generally, it would help to make more specific observations before posting a question like this. It vasts a lot of people's time including your own.

Besides, it's kind of childish to push the engine to 4,000 rpm. I think you may be better of with a rubber toy.
