  1. if it is the first litter then yes, perfectly normal but there can also be a delay between kittens so keep an eye on her. if she seems unwell or her tummy does not go down you might need to get her seen incase some have passed away inside.

    congratulations!!

  2. yes

  3. Is it normal for women to just have one baby.

  4. if its her first time thats ususlly normal :)

  5. My cat had 2 kittens, but her stomach still looked big so took her to the vets to make sure, her stomach hadn't gone down naturally so she had to have a injection. Also had a xray and the vet said she had alot of poo stuck. Its worth checking took the kittens with her as well.

  6. lol!~~~~~~~

  7. not  at all  normal...  hm..  maybe wait  ..a  few  hours.. and see what happens!!

  8. if its her first litter or she is small then its normal

  9. It's totally normal. Cats can have litters  of anywhere from  1-12 kittens sometimes. I would recommend though, if she still seems large, to watch her closely. If she seems uncomfortable and straining in another hour, then take her to the vet right away. One of them might be stuck, and that's dangerous for her.  That should be all the kittens she is having though, I think at most it's 1-2 hours between births.

So just keep an eye on her. I'm sure she is fine, but it's better to be safe then sorry! Hope this helps!

  10. there is time for more to be born but having your cat checked out by a vet mite be a option to put your mind at ease . it's normal for a first time pregnant cat to have a single kitten . mine only had 3 first time .

  11. I had a young "kitty cat" (teen cat), that had two kittens. When they're young it's possible to have fewer, or even one. Sometimes you have to help them open the sac to help the kittens breathe if Mom doesn't respond on her own. Mine was like that. She was too immature to understand what to do, and she was in a great deal of pain when one came out partially because she was so young. Be prepared to help her if this should happen. It's okay. But better answers are attached to the link below. It's possible there may be more, but doesn't necessarily mean there is.

  12. If she looked really big, I would be concerned that she is suffering from uterine fatigue and doesn't have the strength to push out the rest of the litter. You can usually feel in her lower abdomen where the kittens have dropped.  You should take her in to the vet ASAP where they might give her a shot of oxytocin and perhaps calcium.  This will cause her to start contracting again.

It is usually better to take a pregnant cat in for an x-ray so that you have an idea of how many kittens to expect.

I hope all goes well for you and your's.
