Is it normal for a cat to pee in a toilet

I swear I just saw my cat do it... It was so wiered I'm not kidding or lieing either I swear is that normal? He didn't flush which I wasn't expeting him to and I looked and there was urin in the bowl.... He was sitting on top of the toilet with his butt on it like a human... Is that normal for a cat to do ? Is my cat messed up or something. I mean he has a mental condition that he keeps liking furr of of him self

Actually people pay big money to teach their cat this - embrace it, and think how much litter you can save on. You're a lucky person to have a cat so smart! I'd give up my favorite coffee cup to have even one of my cats do this. *LOL*

cats are smarter than most people think, my cat is kind of slow but most normal cats can observe humans and what they are doing and copy it, my aunts cat has figured out how to unlock and open a door, the l*****g thing, all cats do it to clean themselves off... its their way of giving theirselves a bath, thats why they have naturally scratchy tongues

It's a mimicking behavior. It's not only normal but means your cat has high IQ. My mom's cat in Russia is still doing it and is 17 years old. Even tries to flush it afterwards.

It is not normal because most cats go in the litter box but some people actually train their can to go in the toilet so it probably isn't to do with something mental.

yes this is not common but does happen my moms old cat used to use the loo and you can buy these packs form pets at home (for those of you out side the UK its a pet store lol) for toilet training your kitty - I'm starting my kitten tomorrow =]
