  1. Yep, that means that your bird is comfy and cozy, mine does that all the time :)

  2. I believe they just puff up when they are scared or threatend or uncomfortable. You know. just how a cats tail gets poofy when their alert or warning. Nothing to be alarmed of. Just give your bird its space.

  3. It is perfectly normal for your cockatiel to puff up. He is just keeping warm.

    When a cockatiel is sleeping or just getting comfortable he will puff up and get on one leg.

    But, if your cockatiel sleeps TOO much (like 24/7) and is not active, sitting on the bottom of the cage, refusing to come out. Then its sick o.o;

    fluffing up is just a way for cockatiels or any other bird to become comfortable. The loosen all their feathers. :]

    So Chikii just wants to rest a bit, and get comfortable. <3

  4. yes, it's totally normal

  5. Is her sitting ther puffed up or is it just every once in a while. If it is all the time a vet visit is in order and quick.

    Birds do not show that they are sick until is very late. If you bird is sitting all puffed up that is a sign of sickness. Is it acting normal other then being puffed up, is it eating? When you play with it dose it respond?  Is it drinking water? So mnay questions need to be answered here.
