  1. They are definitely caused by your nails. You can't use them properly if your nails aren't clipped - even if you had a lot of spare pairs, you would go through them very fast.

Many people underestimate the importance of this and that's why they end up with cracked contacts.

  2. This was happening to me a lot, i wear tips all the time n wasnt about to stop lol. You just gotta find your own technique to take it out without ripping. Your probably takin it out a lil rough since its a lil hard with long nails n wat not or pinching it with them.

What i usually do is roll the contact towards the corner of my eye (towards the ear) with the side of my finger instead of the finger tip while holdin ma upper and lower lids and then gently roll and pull down till it curls up or flaps over n out ma eye. I have weekly disposables n they last the entire 2 weeks i wear them now, no problem. But thats just me, you can figure out ur own technique. Be sure to be careful to scratch ur eye in the process of course. It helps if u get up real close to the mirror to see wat ur doing till u get accustomed to it.

  3. Probably.  You can tear those things pretty damned easily.

It'll take a month for them to get blurry from absorbing the proteins and things in your eye, and that's what your doctor means when he says they last a month, but when you come right down to it, even if they lasted a year they're still a crazy thin piece of plastic.

  4. You can enjoy long nails and contact lenses too.  I use a soft lens inserter every time I wear contacts.  It take a little getting used to but it works great and allows you to have long nails without any contact lens problems

    I like this remover too.

Your nails likely damaged the lens because mine usually last over a month.
