  1. You really have to take her to the doctor. It might be asthma or something else. Get medical advice and help before it's too late. Hope everything will be fine.

  2. i think the 1st poster maybe thought you meant a tantrum? older babies and toddlers can hold their breath or cry so much they can't get a breath when they are having a tantrum. its very frightening and parents have to deal with it in their own way, but usually as its a tantrum you have to let it happen.

however if its not a tantrum, or you are still not comfortable with it, take her to the doctor. With children there is often more than one possible answer and the Dr's are the best information source.

  3. you can't control the baby as soon as something goes wrong with a baby, they should be immediately taken to the doctor, never wait

maybe your baby was having trouble breathing or something may be wrong in the body

  4. I would check with her doctor. That doesn't sound right at all.

  5. i have no clue

but i was watching a show called mistery diagnosis and a baby was born witha disorder like that.

i didnt see the ending sorry

    but as she got older

    it got worse

but i would definetly have a doctor look at that as soon as possible

    hope all is well

  6. My stepsisters twins also do that - from about 6 months old. They are now almost 2. It always freaks me out and I hate seeing them that way. She says the doctor says its normal - although I don't think so. Everytime they almost go blue and after a few seconds they whole body 'restarts' and they take one deep breath.

Heard over the weekend that they are allergic to milk and this happened almost everytime after they drank some. They stopped doing that now after she took it away.

I honestly won't know what the reasons are. I'm now 18 weeks pregnant and know for sure that I will be very worried and not be so calm about this as she is. I would take my baby iimmediatelyto get him/her checked out.

    Good luck!

  7. Yeah it does happen, i know it's bad for thm to pass out but thats the worst that could happen from it, but it's unusual for that to happen.

  8. Pick up your baby whenever she cries.  If she's purple and shaking this means something's wrong.   Don't let her lie in her crib when she's crying like that.  Comfort her and stroke her back gently.

You might have to walk with her for even an hour or so, to calm her down and comfort her.   Babies cannot be shoved into their beds without a lot of attention beforehand.   Then, after they're asleep you don't need to "jump" whenever they cry, just let them cry a little bit even if they've been sleeping.   It's when they get into a really loud cry that you need to change their diapers, give them a bottle, and walk with them, cooing and patting them gently -- as long as it takes for them to calm down.
