Is it normal for my blood to be as thin as water?

Ok ive been underweight for about 2 years im 30 pounds under healthy weight. Today i got a big cut on my finger and i touched my blood. It wasnt thick like normal blood it was alot like water. Should i get that checked?

  1. If you are underweight and possibly don't eat very well, it would be a good idea to have a blood test to check if you are anaemic.  You may be iron or vitamin B12 or folate deficient amonst other things.  Trying to assess your blood by looking at it is not very scientific or accurate.  You would have to be grossly anaemic in order to be able to pick that up with the naked eye.


  2. If your taking asprins they will thin your blood.  That is why doctors won't operate on someone until they are off asprins fro a few weeks.

  3. Yes it is normal-  but you can't  always tell by looking at it, but why are you so under weight?

    I would have a check up based on that. The only way to check if there is something wrong with your blood is to have it analysed.


  4. yes. did the blood dry quickly over the wound?

    it might be something serious, but you might want to look a bit online for more info
