  1. i would let the cats just have some down time chances are they don't feel very good due to the recent surgery and it might takes a couple of days to a week for them to start feeling like themselves again. Make sure you have a dark place for each of them to hide in and rest...poor babies they probably just feel kinda icky and that is why they are acting strange.

  2. They will come around.  Right now they are pretty sore and hurt.  Give them space and time to heal.  Also they have strange smells about them because of the anesthetic.  This also causes some confusion and them not be familiar with things.

  3. It's a much bigger operation for females, I've watched loads of them, the boys don't even have to be cut open, they just put an incision behind the sack, stick in their fingers, pull out the testicles , cut and clamp the chords and put what's left of them back. That's it.

    That's it.

For the female it's  huge, it takes much longer, it takes a much bigger toll on her body, the incision is made in her side and  her entire womb and ovaries are taken out.

She probably just doesn't feel well, she doesn't blame you or anything like that, she just doesn't feel affectionate.

I promise she'll get over it and come around.

  4. Im not sure. Our cat did this for a while after the surgery. Just let it be for a few weeks. It will probably ware off. if not visit the vet again.

  5. cats always dont like people

  6. That is perfectly normal.  When my cat got fixed (females) one was fine but the other one was freaking out.  There isn't much you can do but give her her space and over the night the sedatives will wear off and she will be back to normal.

  7. No! There is something wrong. You did the poor cat something.

  8. just give it time

this happened to my friend's cat and she hissed at us for a week but she's fine now

  9. While cats do experience emotions, it's important not to be anthropomorphic. Your cats are not capable of applying the same syntax or abstract thought that you are; they simply lack the linguistic systems. Animals can learn and understand utterances, but they cannot hold a grudge; because this implies the presence of semantic and pragmatic systems which are absent. Your cat's intentions are black and white, and only involve the present. Keep this in mind, and you'll win him over.

  10. if i had my thing cut off i would be pretty mad too!!! lol (just kidding), it will probably end in a week or so(depends on age). just try to give her space and be patient to let her accept u when approaching her.
