Is it normal for my cockatiel to have a tail feather growing in upside down?

I was on vacation for a month and my cockatiel was growing in new feathers, while I was gone. I just got back home and while holding him, I realized one of his tail feathers is growing in upside down. I can tell because the sides curve up, instead of curving down like the other ones should. If you can tell me if this is normal or not, that would be great!!! Thanks.

  1. Its more than likely just a broken tail feather. You can cut it off or just wait, it'll fall out eventually. Just make sure it isnt a blood feather before you cut it if thats what you should decide to do.
