Question:

Is it normal for my face to break out more while using AcneFree?

I have moderate acne and I decided to try to clear it up using an OTC product, before heading to the doctor.

I bought the AcneFree 3step system.

After I started using it, I noticed my skin broke out more than before.

I've been using it a week now, and while it looks like most of my face is doing better, there are still some really big red bumps on my chin and upper lip.

I read that this is because its clearing out the impurities in my skin - is this true?

Or should I look for a different product?

  1. The answerer above is correct. The remainder of pimples are just coming to the surface.

As for a good moisturizer, there are two that I recommend:

    PURPOSE Dual Treatment Moisturizer

I was given a sample of this moisturizer from my dermatologist. By far the best moisturizer for us with oily, acne-prone skin. I haven't stopped using it since. This will not clog your pores or add excess oil to your face.

    EUCERIN Soothing Moisturizer

Eucerin is known for its products that are made for sensitive skin. This is great if you want to prevent breakouts AND fight wrinkles at the same time.

  2. It is quite normal when beginning a new regimen to break out because the products will bring things to the surface of your skin.Be persistent  it should clear up in a week or so.
