Question:

Is it normal for my hamster to lay on her back?

I've only had her for one week and she will lay like this and then act normal the rest of the day.

  5. yea its totally fine maybe its resting or something or it wants you to pet it or rub its tummy really theres nothing to be worried about

  7. A hamster lying on it's back means it is either 'playing dead' (might be because it is frightened or stressed) or a sign it is giving up in a fight (in hamster fights, the hamster who has surrendered will lie on its back).

  10. i think its fine but none of the hamster i have had ever did that but i saw a hamster laying on its back in the pet shop and it looked normal and healthy.

  11. My hamster Gypsy loves to lay on her back and have her belly rubbed. I sometimes think she is not a hammie.
