  1. Most women bleed for 3 to 5 days, but a period lasting only 2 days to as many as 7 days is still considered normal.

You should really take mytol, I can not live without it, also try a hot water bottle or heating pad. At the supermarket in the feminine hygiene section sometimes you can find these heating pads made especially for woman on their periods.

If you want to try alternative medicine here are some other ideas.

Some women find relief through massage, yoga or meditation, all stress-relieving activities that may help to lessen pain and aren't likely to harm you. Some women find acupuncture helpful for pain relief.

Follow a healthy diet like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and plenty of cold water fish like salmon, halibut, and sardines. Reduce sugar and caffeine. You may also consider  aromatherapy which may help ease menstrual cramp pain in some women.

        * Apply a heating pad to your lower abdomen (below your belly button). Be careful NOT to fall asleep with the heating pad on.

        * Do light circular massage with your fingertips around your lower abdomen.

        * Drink warm beverages.

        * Eat light but frequent meals.

        * Follow a diet rich in complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, but low in salt, sugar, alcohol, and caffeine.

        * Keep your legs elevated while lying down, or lie on your side with your knees bent.

        * Try vitamin B6, calcium, and magnesium supplements, especially if your pain is from PMS.

        * Take warm showers or baths.

        * Walk or exercise regularly, including pelvic rocking exercises.

Reduce your consumption of coffee, decaffeinated coffee, black tea, and decaffeinated black tea, especially before your period.

    • Reduce or eliminate drinking alcoholic beverages.

    • Drink a lot of water.

    • Reduce intake of meat, non-organically-raised poultry, and dairy foods, as these foods can increase the production of prostaglandins in the body.

    • If you typically ate poultry, shift to organically-raised poultry.

    • Reduce intake of salt before your period.

    • Take a megavitamin and mineral supplement containing vitamin B3 (, vitamin E , magnesium citrate malate , and either calcium citrate malate or calcium citrate.

    • Take either a fish oil supplement containing omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids

    • Avoid smoking.

    • Consider using sanitary pads rather than tampons during your period.

  2. well i just finished my period and it only lasted around 4 days, so i guess its normal!

  3. Ok firstly drink lots of water before ur period and avoid salt take mild exercise eat lots of fibre- constipation can make cramps much worse !!!! if they get really bad take a spoonful of gin itl thin ur blood a little to releive pain

  4. God I would be happy to have my pd only last 3-4 days!  But I know what you are going through.  You sound young, and when I was in HS I had the most painful cramps.   I always felt like crawling in a dark hole and die,  Ugh.  At least you have your mom and doctor clued in.  I didn't.  Finally when I went on the pill it eased up my cramps a lot and shortened my pd by a few days, now down to about 5 or 6.  Just take tylenol, get a heating pad when you're at home and when you're away you can get those sticky warming pads that stick on and are portable.  Ask yout pharmacist for them.  GOOD luck!

  5. I would be extremely grateful if mine were only for 3-4 days!!! Wow!!! Lucky girl!!! Periods generally last for 3 - 8 days (sometimes less, sometimes more).

And the pain is quite normal, don't worry about it. It's just by chance that you experience pain when on your period. Some do, and some don't.

Drink something hot, or keep a hot water bottle on your cramp area when it hurts. It might feel better.

    good luck!

  6. i was like that whent to the docks an they put me on the p**s all is gd now through

  7. HA! sounds like me..   :)

I've fainted before.. Mine last 3-4 days.. Reallllllly bad cramps on the first day.. If I'm at school I leave.. and the only things that help are Advil and a heat pad.. or else I'll sit and die of pain and wish that I could give birth instead of put up with the agony of blood leaking out of you once a month for 4 days....

sorry for being graphic :) good luck. when you have cramps lay on the floor like about to do push ups and push your butt up so you're in a upside down V shape. stay for a few seconds then tuck ur knees under your body, sit and stretch your arms out in from of you, like a dog about to attack. Seriously! it helps!
