My rabbit keeps grinding her teeth. I don't know if it's normal or if it's something I should wonder about. I don't want to spend the money on the vet if it's no big deal and if all rabbits do it. So please help!

  1. My bunny grinds her teeth when her is happy and comfortable. Have a look in her mouth to be sure that her teeth are not to long that they touch her bottom jaw, you may need a trip to a rabbit savy vet. Make sure bunny has lots to chew on, as bunnys teeth never stop growing and the chewing will wear down her teeth.

  2. Im pretty sure its okay.

  3. Does your rabbit have wood to chew on? If not then you should get some for it. rabbits need to chew to keep their teeth from overgrowing as theri teeth never stop growing. If he has wood and is still grinding his teeth then he is in pain. rabbits only grind their teeth when they are in pain. it is one of the first ways they show pain. It could be as simple as an overgrown or tooth with a cavity in the back of his mouth. Or it could be something much more serious. He could have an injury that you cannot see.

If you have a rabbit-savy vet that you see regularly I would get him an appointment to see what's going on.
