Is it normal for my slider turtle to shed?

i have 2 turtles but just 1 shedding is it normal?

  1. The sheds are called scutes, and yes that means your guys are growing . You must have read up on them and knew that they need to bask under a reptile light for  8 to 10 hrs a day for the vitamin D that  they need to grow.

    Leave the heater on 75 to 78 degrees always.

    Their water needs to be clean otherwise they get sick easily from dirty water cause they p**p allot.

    and they  need a good filter system!

    You must be feeding them feeder guppies, goldfish or minnows for protein and calcium daily!  I'd  drop 20 or so in the tanks and watch them disappear!

    They need leafy greens for vitamins at least 3 to 4 times a week.

  3. Yes its perfectly normal. I have a red eared slider and they shed what r called scutes. They shed everytime they grow. So if only one is shedding and the other is not its fine. All it means is that they're growing at different rates.
